Khaled Hosseini on CBC

Today, I want to share this CBC interview with one of my favourite authors, Khaled Hosseini. I'm just beginning his newest book, And the Mountains Echoed. Are you reading it? Did you read The Kite Runner (perhaps my favourite book of all time) or A Thousand Splendid Suns?

Q&A With Author Donna Fasano

Today, author Donna Fasano is here to participate in a Q&A about writing and her new book RECLAIM MY HEART. This book is getting rave reviews. Donna has been a guest of Cookie's Chronicles in the past and I'm always pleased when she comes back for a visit!

~ ~ If you haven't already, after the Q&A remember to enter the giveaway for a copy of Donna's newest book, RECLAIM MY HEART! ~ ~

Let's get to know Donna a little better!

What attracted you to writing in the first place?

I came to writing from my love of reading. While growing up, I lost myself in books in order to escape an unhappy childhood.

Book announcement and giveaway!
RECLAIM MY HEART
by Donna Fasano

Today I am pleased to present to you Donna Fasano's newest book, RECLAIM MY HEART.

Book Blurb:
Sixteen years ago, Tyne Whitlock cut all ties to her past and left town under the shameful shadow of a teenage pregnancy. Now her fifteen-year-old son is in trouble with the law and she is desperate for help. But reaching out to high-powered attorney Lucas Silver Hawk will tear open the heart-wrenching past in ways Tyne never imagined.
Forced to return to the Delaware Indian community where Lucas was raised, Tyne and Lucas are tempted by the heated passion that consumed them as teens. Tyne rediscovers all the reasons she found this man irresistible, but there are scandalous secrets waiting to be revealed, disgraceful choices made in the past that cannot be denied. Love is a powerful force that could heal them both—if the truth doesn't rip them apart.

Interview with Sarah Winman
author of WHEN GOD WAS A RABBIT
PLUS a GIVEAWAY!

I had the privilege recently to ask a few questions of Sarah Winman, author of The Sunday Times bestseller When God Was a Rabbit.

Sarah was also kind enough to request a giveaway copy of her book. I am grateful to Carrie of Bloomsbury for agreeing to the request.

Headline UK Cover (the copy I read)

From the back cover of the UK copy:

This is a book about a brother and a sister.

It's a book about childhood and growing up,
friendships and families, triumph and tragedy
 and everything in between.

More than anything,
it's a book about love in all its forms.

Experience the 2012 Iditarod!

Want to experience the Iditarod?

A special invitation from Andre Jute, author of "Iditarod - a novel of The Greatest Race on Earth":
You (yes, even if you haven't read any of my books) are cordially invited to come racing with me.
The Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race is 1246 miles long, running behind a team of a sled dogs a stone's throw from the Arctic Circle in Alaska.
Alaska is that place where men are men — and women win the Iditarod, regularly. It is perhaps the most dangerous, and certainly the most exciting race in the world. It is definitely the only race in the world that can presume to call itself the successor to the Marathon of the Greeks.
